CCP Recruitment attains Carbon Neutral recognition

CCP Recruitment is Ireland’s first Carbon Neutral Recruitment Company. Concern for the environment and the conservation of energy was high on our agenda when we moved into our new offices in Galway and great care was taken to ensure the optimisation of energy use. The offices are equipped with:
- Energy Efficient Lighting.
- All lighting is strip fluorescent lighting.
- The lighting is equipped with motion sensor to ensure that are not turned on when not needed.
- Energy Efficient Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Optimisation of controls to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Dead band set between heating and cooling ensures there is no unnecessary energy waste.
- The system is regularly cleaned and maintained to maximise efficiency.
Our offices are completely paperless, potential candidates are advised that CVs will only be considered if in electronic format. This ensures a minimum waste and energy consumption- even recycled paper has a carbon footprint!
We also have a comprehensive Green Procurement Policy (GPP) to ensure we have as low an impact as possible. Our GGP many be consulted by all clients and stakeholders and is shown to suppliers to outline our intentions.
Our policy towards work related travel prioritises the use of public transport. Where travel by public transport is not feasible, a company car is available. All staff are fully trained in Eco Driving techniques to maximise the fuel efficiency of our vehicle. Our unavoidable Carbon Footprint has been offset by investing in Verified Emission Reductions, validated in accordance with the Voluntary Carbon Standard and are generated in Ireland. This enables us to take full responsibility for our carbon footprint.
