CCP Recruitment Win National Recruitment Award


Galway recruitment agency CCP Recruitment, have been honored with one of the highest accolades in the HR industry with the award for ‘Recruitment Consultant of the Year’. The award was presented to the Managing Director of CCP Recruitment, Michelle Kilcar, at the prestigious Recruitment Industry Awards held in the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin. Pamela Flood, the stylish presenter from RTE, hosted the glamorous event as special guest MC.


This event is the highlight of the calendar for recruitment agencies nationwide to be recognised for their outstanding performance within the industry.

CIPD DINNER DANCE 2009:

Glittering event attracts key HR and Business Representatives in the West.

 

Even in such challenging times networking definitely a key ingredient for all businesses and this year the CIPD gala dinner dance stands testament to this theory attracting over 300 Human Resources and Business representatives from a variety of private and public sector organisations throughout the western region.


Sponsored by CCP Recruitment for the 8th consecutive year the special guest and MC for the night was one of Irelands top 100 entrepreneurs Sean Gallagher - founder and CEO of Ireland's largest home technology company ‘Smarthomes’, and famous for his impeccable investment advice on the RTE TV series ‘Dragons Den’.


Declan Heneghan, Chairperson of the CIPD Western Region welcomed special guests and all attending, and spoke of the vibrancy of the CIPD in the Western Region


The Chairperson of CIPD Ireland Frank Kelly addressed the attendees and highlighted the success of the West region in organising a host of excellent events each year. There are over 132,000 members of the CIPD throughout Ireland and the UK and the membership of this body is widely accepted by employers as a requirement of practice as it demonstrates a commitment to high standards and professionalism and to continuing professional development.


The event sponsors CCP Recruitment are now part of a very select few who have ever been recognised for demonstrating this level of professionalism in human resources and they were setting the standards for their industry. Both Directors of the company Roisin McNamara and Michelle Kilcar are fellow members of the CIPD and Michelle Kilcar addressed the attendees highlighting there delight in being involved CIPD Western Region as their main sponsor again this year. This year CCP has also won the National Award for ‘Best in HR’ awarded by the Small Firms Association and presented by former Taoiseach – Bertie Ahern.

"The West is Awake" was the comment from Enterprise Ireland, referring to two of the six category winners at the Small Firms Association National Awards 2008, tipping the scale in Galway's favour. CCP Recruitment, Galway and EasyFix Rubber Products, Athenry were the recipients' of major awards in their respective categories in the Mansion House in Dublin last Wednesday night.

Presenting the awards at this glittering affair was An Taoiseach, Bertie Aherne who congratulated these exceptional companies on their outstanding achievement. "Our real competitive advantage is our knowledge base and capacity for innovation." he said, "In simple terms; we have to be smarter, quicker and more adaptable than our competitors".

CCP Recruitment won the overall 'Best in HR Development' category, sponsored by FAS, from over 37 businesses considered nationwide. "We are over the moon" said Michelle Kilcar, Director of CCP Recruitment. "This award speaks volumes about how progressive Galway companies are, when we can be measured against the best in Ireland and come out on top. We will be celebrating this award for a long time."

Also recognised as being at the top of their game was Athenry based company, EasyFix Rubber Products, who scooped the prestigious 'Innovator of the Year' award, sponsored by Enterprise Ireland. The company, founded by Michael Earls, has pioneered an innovative rubber flooring system for agricultural purposes.



CCP Recruitment Galway wins top level HRM Award



CCP Recruitment Galway was awarded the FÁS Excellence Through People Platinum Standard for best practice Human Resource Management (HRM) by Rody Molloy, Director General of FÁS in Dublin today. CCP Recruitment - an executive search and recruitment company specialising in high level skills matching, is the first recruitment company in Ireland to achieve the Platinum award.

This Platinum level is awarded to organisations which achieve strategic competitive advantage through their people. Twelve other organisations have attained this level and CCP Recruitment joins a network of prestigious companies such as Xerox (Europe) Ltd; PepsiCo; Baxter Healthcare; DePuy, Analog Devices and AIB Capital Markets.
